- 500 gm chicken on bone, curry cut,
- 6 tbsp oil (any),
- Whole Garam Masala..
- 1 bari elaichi,
- 1 tejpatta,
- 4 laung,
- 1 pc dalchini,
- 1/2 tsp kali mirch sabit,
- 2 med sized onion thinly sliced,
- 1 tsp garlic paste,
- 1 tsp ginger paste,
- 1/2 tsp haldi powder,
- 1 tsp green chilli paste,
- 2 tsp dhania powder,
- 2 med sized tomato sliced,
- to taste, Salt
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder,
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder,
- 1 cup coconut milk,
- 1 tsp desi ghee,
Steps to make to make Coconut Chicken Korma
- Take a wok, add 2 tbsp oil, heat it. Add chicken pcs, stir fry it until light brown. Take out in a bowl, keep aside.
- Now add rest of the oil in the same wok, heat it. Add whole Garam Masala, saute it for a minute.
- In goes onion, stir fry it until light brown.
- Now add ginger garlic paste, give a stir. Add very lil water to avoid burning. Cook it until rawness is released.
- In goes haldi, dhania powder & green chilli paste. Mix it well. Again add lil water, cook it until oil has oozed out.
- Now add tomato & salt, give a stir. Cover it with the lid, lower the flame, cook it until tomato becomes mushy.
- Open the lid, add Kashmiri red chilli powder & garam masala powder, stir fry it for a sec.
- Now add chicken pcs, stir fry it for a minute.
- Add coconut milk, give a stir. Moderate the flame, cook it until oil has surfaced.
- Now add 1 cup boiled water, stir it. Let it boil, lower the flame, cover it again. Cook it until chicken is almost cooked.
- Turn off the flame, open the lid after 10 minutes.
- Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.
